The dynasty rolled on Saturday at Madison Square Garden in New York. The Villanova Wildcats won their fifth Big East Tournament championship in the last seven tries with a 54-48 win over Creighton.

That’s impressive. Duke, UNC, UCLA, Kentucky and Kansas can’t say they’re on that kind of run. Only Villanova and Gonzaga can claim that level of dominance. But, you can’t name another team in Gonzaga’s conference and we all know how many national championship the Zags have won.
Throw in a National Coach of the Year, a National Player of the Year, a couple Julius Erving Award winners and the trophy case is pretty full for this decade.
Villanova is not only a blue blood, but you can make the case they are the bluest of the blue bloods.
