Proposed NBA Trade for the 2022-23 Season

I’ll give this trade to Shams a year early so he can mock up that tweet and break the news. This is the 4-team deal that needs to happen…

The four teams that are involved are the Sacramento Kings, the Portland Trail Blazers, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Detroit Pistons.

Here’s the deal, first for the Pistons…

The Pistons need some guard help. Corey Joseph isn’t getting it done so we’re going to trade him in a second. Cade Cunningham can’t pass the ball to himself. Not yet anyway. So the Pistons get Collin Sexton and Caris LeVert from the Cavaliers. Big upgrade at the PG spot and you bring LeVert back to Michigan. Detroit is also going to get Joe Ingles from the Blazers. The left-handed marksman was just dealt there from Jazz, hates it, and will soon demand a trade. The Blazers oblige and the Pistons add a sniper. Three very good guards, but it’s going to cost them Joseph, the clinic Kelly Olynyk, newly acquired Marvin Bagley and Saddiq Bey.

Joseph and Olynyk are going to the Blazers, along with Domantas Sabonis from the Kings. The Blazers are blowing it up, but I don’t think they have to. They traded CJ McCollum and they need a cornerstone big man. Sabonis, a 2x all-star, gives them that piece and he goes back to his hometown where his dad played for seven years and put together a Hall of Fame career. As always, if you get an all-star caliber player you’re gong to have to give up some pieces. The Blazers part with Ingles to the Pistons, Justise Winslow, Ben McLemore and Josh Hart.

Winslow and McLemore go as a package deal to the Kings, where they will reunite with Marvin Bagley from the Pistons. McLemore and Bagley were teammates on the Kings before. Why not run it back? Winslow and Bagley can share stories of Coach K’s antics and sing kumbaya on the way to a 10-72 season. It’s the Kings, who gives a shit? And all they’ll give up is Sabonis and Donte DiVincenzo.

So that leaves the Cavs with Josh Hart, Donte DiVincenzo and Saddiq Bey. Sounds good to me. More of a rescue mission than a trade, really. Saving Hart from the Blazers, Cenzo from the Kings and Saddiq from the Pistons is needed for their careers. Bring them to Cleveland!

Who says no? This trade is a win, win, win, win. Make it happen.
