Can We Stop Pretending Like Odell Beckham Jr. is Good?

Alright, so I’ve been working on this blog for a couple of days and I finally got the numbers to work out. The research team has been pulling out their hair on this one. But here it is.

One of my modus operandi is to find a hilarious stat about a team, coach, or in this case an individual. Then I find funnier stats to drive home the point.

When was Odell Beckham Jr.’s last 100-yard receiving game? Anybody?

October 13, 2019!

767 days ago, OBJ had six catches for 101 yards in a 32-28 loss to the Seahawks.

By itself, that’s a crazy stat. But when you realize how easy it is to have a 100-yard receiving game in the NFL, it’s almost impressive that Odell hasn’t done it since that date.

Guys, I don’t think you’re getting it. Alshon Jeffery has had 100 yards more recently than OBJ. Kenny Stills has done it more recently. Davante Adams has done it 15 times since Odell’s last time. Eleven guys have done it 10 or more. Travis Kelce has done it four times in the playoffs alone. D’haquille Williams has done it. WHO THE FUCK IS D’HAQUILLE WILLIAMS?!?

Here’s the full list and the frequency at which these guys hit the 100-yard mark . Scroll, scroll, scroll if you don’t care to read the whole thing…

Dude, you can fall ass backwards into a 100-yard game. Some guy named Marcus Johnson has done it three times.
