The blatant disrespect of the American flag should strike a nerve in any red blooded American.

The story has been covered from all the local stations in Michigan and may be getting national attention.

I basically grew up in the Carleton VFW post, so this story strikes close to home. I pulled into work yesterday and a Fox 2 News Van was parked in the lot. I shortly got the scoop from inside what had happened.

Since then, phone calls from as far as Florida and Texas have come in voicing suport for the VFW. The local Lowes and Chevy dealer donated replacement flags as the ones that were uprooted will be retired with dignity.
