Jordan Luplow. Come on down.
Different night. Different name. Same result.
For the second night in a row, the Cleveland Indians win in dramatic fashion on a walk-off homerun. The Tribe has now won six of its last seven games and have closed to within 2.5 games of first place in the American League Central.
Somebody hold this…
Guess what guys? I’m starting to get my hopes up. It’s that time of year again. One week from the playoffs and things are starting to come together. Guys are hitting. Guys are pitching. We have some team of destiny shit going on. I’m not sayin’, I’m just sayin’.
Shane Bieber just pitched his last game on the 2020 regular season. He’s going to win the AL Cy Young Award. It should be unanimous. He leads the American League in wins, ERA and strikeouts. Yup, that’ll do it. He wins.
A little more on the walk-offs… That was the 92nd walk-off homer for the Indians since the new ballpark opened in 1994. That’s far and away the most in the league. Luplow is the 48th different Indian to pull the feat. Here is the not-so-exclusive list of member:
