Throughout 2020, it has been the year of literally anything can happen. We had the passing of NBA God Kobe Bryant, a Netflix show blew up about a crazy dude raising tigers, killer hornet invasion, and I guess you could throw the coronavirus in there too. With all the craziness in this world, the Browns manage to secure their first dub of the season, rebounding from their 32 point loss last week.

This game is what I excepted the team to look like the past 3 years, on both sides of the ball, to be quite honest. Baker Mayfield was absolutely on fire, as well as guys like Sheldon Richardson finally coming alive on defense. You could really tell that the team had their swagger back.
Baker was an absolute machine out their, completing nearly 70% of his passes going 16/23 for 219, 2 touchdowns, and 1 pick. However, the main protagonists of this story was the team’s run game. Just a complete semi-truck, speeding through a bunch of life-sized cutouts of Bengals players.
The ground game was unstoppable, with a combined rushing total of 215 yards, led by the dynamic duo of running backs. Nick “Chubbawubbahub” Chubb would go off for 124 on 22 carries scoring twice, as well as Kareem Hunt, *Ed Orgeron voice* representing the great city of Toledo, rushing for 86 yards on 10 carries, with both a receiving and rushing touchdown. As much as I love seeing Baker slinging bombs down field, nothing makes me more giddy than Chubb shooting a tiny gap in the line, picking up a first, then continue to run for an extra 10 yards as 4 defenders hop on his back and try to bring him down.
Though I’m ecstatic the Brownies got their first dub this early in the year, I was a little heartbroken to see Joey B take his 2nd career loss in back to back weeks. Especially, since he had two great games where they just couldn’t close. I’m talking Burrow pulling a Dwayne Haskins vs Purdue in 2018, throwing for 61, yes, 61 passes completing 61% of those, throwing for over 300 yards, 3 TDs, and 0 picks. Quite a shame.
The Browns will be back in action on 9/27, surprisingly as the favorite (-4.5) as they will stay at home and face the Washington Football Team (+4.5).
Hope everyone enjoys their victory Friday, as well as the conclusion to the work week. Make sure to check us out on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram @LifeTakesBlog for more content.
