Huge shoutout to the Detroit Tigers for single handedly saving the Indians season.
The Indians had lost eight games in a row. It looked like they may never win again. They dropped out of the lead in the division. They dropped out of second place in the division. They dropped out of the top wild card position. The Indians were in danger of missing the extended playoffs at the rate they were losing game.
Good thing the Detroit Tigers exist. Back-to-back wins for the first time since ‘Nam for the Tribe.
Plesac was awesome. 7.2 shutty with 11 tickets punched. Karinchak looks to be back in form for the most part. Hand job to finish it off for his 12th or 13th save. I could put a bunch of videos of our pitchers making the Tigers look like little leagers but haven’t they been through enough?
Just kidding. Here’s Plesac’s immaculate second inning.
Miguel Cabrera, 0-for-3, 3 strikeouts, owed $94,000,000 over the next three seasons.
Magic number to make the playoffs is five with the Mariners still in action against the Padres.
