All my Rowdy Friends will be staying home to watch the Monday Night games. Apparently ESPN will be calling an audible on their intro this year and will be replacing Hank Williams Jr “All My Rowdy Friends” with “Rip it Up” by Little Richard.

The Willams Jr. tune made its first appearance for MNF in 1989 with its popular catch phrase “Are you ready for some football?”. But was removed in 2011 when Willams Jr. compared a golf game Obama participating in, to Hitler playing golf with another world leader, but was brought back again in 2017. 

For the new theme song “Rip it Up” ESPN plans to use Little Richards vocals but will have the musical group Butcher Brown drop a new track track for it.
