Windians Back in First Place

Indians win. White Sox lose. Tribe regains first place in the AL Central.

The Indians pitching staff is stupid good. It’s almost unfair. Take this series for the Royals; Cy Young candidate Shane Bieber, Zach Plesac in his return to the big leagues and then the best rookie arm in baseball in Triston McKenzie. Good luck with that.

The Royals stole the first game of the series. Congrat. Then Plesac and McKenzie shoved pipe the next two games. It’s tough to score multiple runs in multiple games against this team. The Indians have won six of the last seven series.

Offensively, it was all Tyler Everydayquin tonight. Two-run dinger in the second inning, three run dinger in the ninth, all five ribeyes for the Tribe. Franmil Reyes had 10 hits in the series; first Indian to do that since ‘Nam. Lindor looks like he’s getting the hang of this baseball thing. It’s a decent lineup when guys are going well.

So the pitching is great. The offense is starting to round into form. No way they can add a little defense to the equation, right?

Check.
