AEW Dynamite Recap – Take Home Show To All Out

Here we go! The AEW Dynamite take home show to All Out. I’m pretty excited for this PPV on Saturday. This episode of Dynamite was one of my favorites that they have had lately. Let’s dive into this recap…

Santana and Ortiz def. Best Friends

This was an exciting match to start the show and get everyone pumped for the night. The match itself, started as a brawl outside the ring, which included a spot where Chuck Taylor was thrown through about 20 chairs.

Santana and Ortiz picked up the win with a police baton cheap shot on Trent. Segment rating: 7.3/10

MJF Prepares His Lawyer

Short segment here. MJF’s lawyer is afraid to face Moxley tonight. Wardlow forces his lawyer to start to get ready. Segment rating: 6.2/10

Young Bucks and Jurassic Express def. Private Party and SCU

A lot of fun moves here but honestly 8-man tag matches are so chaotic. Segment rating: 6.8/10

Kenny Omega Interview

This segment was absolutely amazing. I have been waiting so long for Kenny to turn heel and we are so close. Kenny did an interview with Tony Schavione, when Kenny began talking shit about FTR, they interrupted. When they were about to attack Kenny, Hangman came out only to have some mind games played with him. Segment rating: 9.1/10

Chris Jericho def. Joey Janela

The match opened up with Orange Cassidy coming through the stands to watch ringside. Jericho hit Janela with the codebreaker, put him in the Walls of Jericho and that was the match.

After the match, Jericho attacked Janela as a message to Cassidy for their match on Saturday. As Janela laid helpless in the ring, Cassidy came in for the save and proceeded to have a brawl that ended with Cassidy pouring out Jericho’s champagne in the middle of the ring. This segment was so much fun and generated a ton of excited for Saturday night. Segment rating: 9.2/10

Battle Royale Preview

Team Taz came out to cut a promo on how one of his clients were going to win the Battle Royale. Pretty much every 10-30 seconds after that, wrestlers would interrupt until everyone was out in the ring.

For sure the highlight of this was Darby Allin coming into the ring to attack Ricky Starks. I’m so excited for this Battle Royale on Saturday, if I have to pick a winner, it’d be Shawn Spears. He’s been on a roll lately and is in need of some wins and momentum. Segment rating: 8.0/10

Thunder Rosa def. Serena Deeb

This match had a little too much offense for Serena Deeb for me. It was my first time seeing Thunder Rosa wrestler. She seems like an absolute badass and I hope she beats Shida at All-Out. But for a champion to last 15 minutes with a random wrestler, it’s not a great look. In the end, Rosa picked up the win. Segment rating: 6.1/10.

Big Swole Decides Stipulation

Big Swole decided that her match against Britt Baker at All Out will be a “Tooth and Nail Match”. Which sounds like it will be at a dentistry so it’ll be cool to see how creative they get with that. Segment ended with Britt super kicking Swole and putting her in lockjaw. Segment rating: 7.7/10

Jon Moxley def. Mark Sterling

The beginning of this was very slow. I mean you have the world champion against a guy who has no experience. But as soon as the match was over (obviously Mox won) Wardlow and MJF beat the shit out of Moxley causing him to bleed. Segment rating: 7.3/10

Still trying to decide if I’m going to do an All Out preview blog or not. I’ll for sure be watching and live tweeting/blogging. Hopefully you’ll watch this amazing PPV. See you Saturday!
