Welcome: My name is Colin Rininger but I’ll be writing under my not-so-corporate-America name, iknowcpr.
If you told me 3 years ago that I would take up blogging, I’d laugh in your face. But back then you’d be able to see my expressions because wearing a facemask wasn’t socially acceptable unless it was Halloween, but here we all are.
My brain has always run at 100 mph and I thought this would help get some of my thoughts out and on paper. At least this way you can’t hear me stutter.
I have a mix’n match of ideas that I want to eventually touch base on so if you’re interested in some stupid funny content, no promises. But I also want to address more serious and concerning topics that we face in this world today, Yin & Yang?
Thank you for taking 3 minutes out of your busy schedule to read this horrific inaugural blog post thing. Who knows, maybe we will see you back next time. Till then, I’ll be doing some research on clickbait headlines.
Now for my inaugural address – Imagine me standing at a podium, dressed to the nines, in front of 1,000,000 people. (clears throat)
We, the citizens of this planet, are now joined in a great global effort to rebuild our blogs and to restore its promise for all of our people.
Together, we will determine the course of this blog and the world for years to come.
We will face challenges. We will confront hardships. But we will get the job done.
Every hour, we gather on these devices to carry out the orderly and peaceful transfer of social media platforms. We are grateful for CrimeDawg, Danger Dave, and S.Mojito McCormick for their gracious acceptance of iknowcpr into the LifeTakes family. They have been magnificent.
Today’s Take, however, has a very special meaning. Because today we are not merely transferring power from one Blogger to another, or from one platform to another – but we are transferring power from all the above and giving it back to you, the People.
For too long, a small group on our timelines have reaped the rewards of the obscene amount of likes and followers while the majority of people have borne the cost.
Barstool Sports flourished – but the people did not share in its wealth.
Call Her Daddy prospered – but Sofia left, and Suitman was canceled.
The establishment protected itself, but not the readers of our blogs.
Their victories have not been your victories; their triumphs have not been your triumphs; and while they celebrated, there was little to celebrate for struggling binge-watchers all across our planet (thanks COVID).
That all changes – starting right here, and right now, because this moment is your moment: it belongs to you.
It belongs to everyone gathered here today and everyone reading all across the World Wide Web.
I might regret this
