Tigers Demolish Cubs 7-1- Huge Bounce Back Win

Tigers beat the Cubs 7-1 with a huge 6th inning where the boys scored 5 of the 7 runs with a triple from Cameron Maybin and a yabbbbboooo grand slam from maybe the best 2nd baseman in the game, Jonathon Schoop.

Spencer Turnbull just continues to prove that he is our ace. Another dominant performance and this time it was vs the 1st place team in the NL Central. He had shut down innings and he pitched out of a couple tough situations. 5 and 2/3 innings with only 3 hits and no earn runs for Spencer, you cant really ask for much more. He’s now 3-2 on the season with a 2.97 ERA.

Issac Paredes is going to be a super star. Another great day from the youngster who is like 20 years old. I heard a stat today that Paredes hasn’t swung and miss at a pitch in the strike zone all season….. that’s almost unbelievable. He has the greatest eyes I’ve ever seen.

Tigers have another night game tomorrow with Michael Fulmer bringing his 9.86 ERA to the game vs Jon Lester who recently got hit around. Love our chances to win a series tomorrow night. Let’s go
