What looked to be a promising year for the Browns, with great free agent pick ups as well as receiving an A rating in this years draft, the team still cannot catch a break as the LSU rookie was carted off the field to an apparent Achilles injury.

Delpit was a massive steal in the 2020 Draft, getting picked up in the 2nd round by the Browns, known to be a hybrid safety/linebacker type player. This comes as another massive blow to the team, as Delpit would be the most likely starter at the safety position. There is no further word on the extent of the injury or how long he is expected to miss. The Browns are already down two starters with linebacker Mack Wilson missing a large portion of the season, free agent pickup Kevin Johnson, the former Bulls corner, and as well as running back Nick Chubb who returned to practice after receiving a concussion.

Delpit played three years at LSU, with a total of 120 solo tackles, 7 sacks, and 8 interceptions.
