Another day… Another Tigers Win.

Technically we’re tied for first place and the Twins are about to win so we will fall back to .5 game out of first, either way, we’re playing great baseball.

Tigers won this game 5-1 behind dominant pitching from the Fulmer- Norris combo and the bullpen locked the door again. But, we’re having so many young players take a huge step right in front of our eyes. We just released Jordy Mercer so we could get the young guys more playing time. It’s beautiful to watch and see the future of Detroit getting more confidence and improving with game experience. Niko Goodrum set the pace tonight going 4-4 and the candy man had another great night. Also, you guessed it, Jacoby Jones with another electric night. He does it every night but tonight he hit a missile to the center fielder who missed it and it rolled to the fence for a stand up inside the park homer. Gregory Soto might be the next superstar bullpen arm and Bryan Garcia is steady eddy out of the bullpen.

Thought of the night– It’s a shame people are not on this bandwagon. I know back in 2011-2015 everyone watched the Tigers and we were all in this together. But for some reason we can’t knock the vibe that people think the Tigers are just bad and Al Avila doesn’t know what he’s doing. I blame 97.1 the ticket for doing that but it’s old that no one believes in them. I’m telling you people, this Tigers team isn’t going anywhere and they will be playing meaningful playoff games.
