Long ago, in the year 2019, kids those days were wagging their fingers and bopping their head’s to timeless classic such as Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road”, Dababy’s “Suge”, or even slower classic’s like Post Malone’s “Circles”. However, with the recent break in the simulation with such events like the passing of Kobe or a man eating bats causing a global pandemic, the most recent struggle has been trying to convince the youth, that apparently, music did in fact exist before TikTok.
That’s right, there was a time where I could enjoy a song without having to hear “this is from TikTok”. No, E-Girl Becky, music wasn’t made just for you to swing your elbows and hit the woah, especially since TikTok dances are literally just doing what they say in the song.
The one good thing I can say about the app, is that it does allow for new and upcoming artist’s music to go viral before even being released to the public.
