This might be a reach.
I’m not really sure, it just doesn’t pop out to me. We needed a WR because we have some older wide outs. Golladay is a must of a resign and after that were limited. Marvin is getting older and will be solid this season and maybe the next but he is on the downward hill. Amendola has like one more year left. We just signed Geronino Allison, who came out of nowhere last season on Green Bay but it is also just a one year contract. So, WR was a need and the Lions continue their path of drafting big time needs. It is something we haven’t seen the Lions do before and its refreshing to see this year.
Quintez Cephus is 6’1 202 LBS- He has avergae height for a wide out but he is bulky with a chissled frame. He’s a strong runner after the catch. He has good body control and is very competitive. Downsize is that he has small hands and drops passes too often. I hate reading that because I cant stand guys who drop passes. “hit ya in a bad spot……… the HANDS!!!!”
5th round picks are toss ups on if the player will be or not. We have seen former 5th rounders turn into household names and at this point in the draft we have to just keep drafting players at postions that we need.
We have another pick coming up very soon!
