With Matthew Stafford’s wife, Kelly, undergoing 12 hours of brain surgery and returning home only last weekend, the Lions told their QB to take as much time off as needed this off-season. Yet Stafford was at the Lions’ training facility first thing Monday morning, ready for work.

This is the most all american couple of our generation and they don’t get any credit. Literally the QB of a SEC Powerhouse dating the cheerleader and they go on to get married and build a beautiful family together. That is straight out of a Carrie Underwood song.

Late last year I wrote a blog about how Matthew Stafford was having a bad season because he was suffering from too much estrogen. He got it from his wife Kelly and his three daughters.

This season however, Kelly is going to be one of the reasons he has the best season of his career. This dude was probably up for the entire 12 hour surgery anxiously awaiting updates on the love of his life. Then he gets her home and sleeps it off and goes to work the next Monday. That is heart.

Matthew is going to tear apart the NFL. I’m talking career numbers. Another 5,000 yard season guaranteed. He is going to win his first career playoff game this season. Book it. You read it here first. Matthew Stafford takes the Lions to the Divisional Round of the Playoffs.
