Pistons 111
Warriors 102
The Pistons are the hottest team in the NBA right now and not even the all mighty Golden State Warriors could slow them down.
The Pistons pretty much had this game under control from the tip. Pistons were lead by Blake Griffin with 26/6/5 but shot like a bum going 9-22. He’s still just pulling up from 3 and shooting a laser beam to the basket. But he’s the leader the Pistons have been missing since Chauncey got traded for AI.
Andre dominated again with a 16 point game along with 19 rebounds. He’s been putting together some nice looking games over the last few weeks. Just needs to find that consistency to become a NBA super star. (Still was 2-8 from the free throw line so let’s hold back on that super star talk.)
Reggie Jackson had another solid night. He’s doing everything a PG needs to go to have respect in this league. People forget that he’s been hurt for the better part of the last two seasons and the Pistons record when he’s playing is well above average.
Biggest surprise of this whole streak has been the rise of Stanley Johnson. He’s starting to play like a top 10 pick in the 2014 Draft. In 22 minutes of playing time he ran off a stat line of 19/7/2 while shooting 8-16 from the field. That’s elite stuff from the 22 year old.
On this 5 game winning steak the Pistons have rose up to the 4th spot in the Eastern Conference and are only 1.5 games back from the Bucks to lead the Central Division. We haven’t won the division since 2008 and since Lebron is out west, this is our chance to jump on it.
The Pistons hype is as high as it’s been in recent time and it’s all because of Dwayne Casey. The man is a winner and has full control of this team. We could be seeing something special this winter.
